Shane K Brown Claim

Shane is a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Syracuse, NY. Families have been the forefront of Shane’s focus since he began his career as a social worker in 2006. In 2008, Shane graduated from Syracuse University with a Masters in Social Work. Since then he has accumulated more than 6,500 clinical therapy hours. He has significant training in family systems, motivational interviewing, solution focused psychotherapies and cognitive behavioral therapy. Shane is an active member in the community through volunteer work and was an active member on the board for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Shane has worked in multiple settings, which includes home settings, academic settings, early intervention settings, clinical settings, and hospital settings. He served as an adjunct professor at Columbia College in the school of Human Services and developed the Selective Mutism program at Liberty POST. In addition to private practice, Shane works for St Joseph’s Hospital Outpatient Mental Health Clinic with adolescents, adults, and families.
